The 2016 winner is John McCoy with his 1986 Mallock Mk 27. John had only imported this exciting racing car from England earlier in the week and the BCHMR was his first opportunity to drive it at all. He (and the Mallock) put on a very impressive show.

The Battered Cup

This BCHMR permanent trophy is ‘awarded’ annually to the competitor who has had the ‘most battering experience’ of the event.

The 2016 winner is Steve Clark. Steve had originally entered his well-known 1960 Lola Mk1 but found out at the last minute that the transmission had a serious problem. So, instead he brought his 1963 Lotus 23B together with his 1959 Elva Courier for he and his daughter Shelby to race. Unfortunately, the fuel tank bladder in the Lotus failed and then the driveshaft in the Elva broke, all before Saturday was even over!

The 2016 winner is long time SOVREN member Charly Mitchel. Charly has been entering his beautiful and fast 1969 Triumph TR6 in the BCHMR for many years. His ongoing support is very much appreciated by the VRCBC.
