The BC Historic Motor Races has always been great value for all motorsport enthusiasts and their families. We are hopeful that it will be possible for spectators to attend again in 2021 but it is unlikely that the applicable ‘rules’ will be known for sure until much closer to the event. The following information from the 2019 BCHMR is just provided as a guideline for what we very much hope will be the case for the 2021 BCHMR.

Tickets

The entrance fee at the gate is only $(TBD) per person per day and children under 12 years old (accompanied by an adult of course) get in free of charge! And parking is free!

‘Hot Laps for Charity’

‘Hot Laps’ is a real fan favourite; it is always one of the most popular activities at the BCHMR and we hope to be offering it again in 2021.  ‘Hot Laps’ are run during the lunch hour on both Saturday and Sunday.

The concept is very simple; for a minimum donation of $(TBD), race fans get a fast three laps as a passenger around the 1.4 mile Mission Raceway Road Course in a Vintage racing car or a performance car. The Mission Hospice Society. is the VRCBC’s ‘charity of choice’.

Be sure to arrive early to sign up! It is first come, first served!  The ‘Hot Laps’ registration desk opens at 10 am each day. But why stop after only one ride? How often will you have a chance to get a fast ride in cars like this!

Helmets will be provided. Remember that road racing goes ahead rain or shine, and so do the Hot Laps. Ask any racer; a fast ride when the track is wet can be even more of a thrill!
